1st Red Belt - Adult

Congratulations, you are now ready to move to a Red Belt. This belt takes a minimum 6 months to prepare for.

Three months project

  1. Teach 5 hours to the White Belt
    1. Work with White Belts with Kima Ju Se instructing
    2. Fighting Techniques Instructing
  2. Look up information
    1. List the 8 fighting elements (Green book page 23)
    2. List the 8 Chang Moo Kwan (Green Book Page 23)
    3. When did Chang Moo Kwan begin
    4. Who was the first instructor of Chang Moo kwan ( What happened to him)
    5. Who was the 2nd instructory of Chang Moo Kwan
    6. Hierachy chart of our Chang Moo kwan Lineage
  3. Demonstration at a Betl test
    1. Block a punch
    2. Take Down
    3. Guard
    4. Roll
    5. Arm Bar
  4. You must do a demonstration at a test.requires a demonstration

To achieve a Yellow Belt. You must be proficient in the following activities:

There are five stages of the test to achieve the 2nd degree Yellow Belt.

  1. Kima Jus Se
  2. Forms
  3. Studio Techniques
  4. Stranger Danger
  5. Ground Techniques

Kima Ju Se includes( This stays the same for all the tests)

  1. Kima Ju Se
  2. Front Punch - Single
  3. Front Punch - Double
  4. Front Punch - Triple
  5. Front Punch - Low, Middle, High

Forms - Must be able to do all 5 kibone.

  1. #3 Pi an Dan Som

Studio Techniques - Perform techniques 1 - 25 with accuracy.

Stranger Danger (The same as the last test plus three more)

Stranger Danger is about a smaller person going against a larger more powerful person. #1 rule in Stranger Danger is to not let anyone touch you. The 2nd Rule is to yell loud.
